The HSR Community 2022 Annual Meeting was held on November 23, 2022, and the research group led by Prof. Tamukoh, a member of this project, received a perfect score along with the Matsuo Lab. of the University of Tokyo and tied for the Best Poster Award.

Prof. Tamukoh’s research group presented an object recognition system that combines a flexible tactile sensor and reservoir computing, and a brain-based artificial intelligence constructed by mimicking brain functions, which was highly evaluated for its originality. They are also working on the development of a fast and highly stable system, and some of the results have been released as open source. Furthermore, they are working on the development of brain-based artificial intelligence and robots that can learn habits and preferences through interaction with family members and behave more intelligently.
